DID YOU KNOW THAT…..
Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have been used ubiquitously for commercial use. They also are used in TVs, computers, smart phones, and tablets. Though the light emitted appears white, LEDs have peak emission in the harmful blue light range (400-490, peak at 470-480, nm). Evidence indicates that exposure to blue light can affect many physiologic functions, causing insomnia, damage to rods and cones, and macular degeneration. Thus, it is important to consider occasional blue-blocking lenses to protect your eyes.
